  • Lourdes Students Travel to Assisi, Italy on Pilgrimage - Read One Student's Reflection on the Journey

Lourdes High School Senior, Elise Berning
    Posted March 7, 2017

Lourdes High School students in grades 11 and 12 have the opportunity to experience a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi, Italy. This spiritual journey extends the walls of the classroom allowing our students the gift to literally walk in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare.

"At one time, many years ago, Francis and Clare walked and lived like any other person. Though they changed the world, they lived and died as any other human. Visiting Assisi humanized Francis and Clare in my eyes, demonstrating how God works through us. If we are open and listen to our calling, we too can help the marginalized and challenge the injustices of society," said Lourdes High School Senior, Elise Berning.
