Vote for the three Lourdes High School musicians that have entered into a recording contest for a chance to win a national competition to equip campus music ministers with the mentorship and resources they need to set up music discipleship programs in schools and parishes! Lourdes High School students in grades 11 and 12 have the opportunity to experience a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi, Italy. This spiritual journey extends the walls of the classroom allowing our students the gift to literally walk in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare.
"At one time, many years ago, Francis and Clare walked and lived like any other person. Though they changed the world, they lived and died as any other human. Visiting Assisi humanized Francis and Clare in my eyes, demonstrating how God works through us. If we are open and listen to our calling, we too can help the marginalized and challenge the injustices of society," said Lourdes High School Senior, Elise Berning.

In February of 2016, a group of Rochester Catholic Schools teachers and staff began constructing the blueprints for an interactive reading program between Lourdes High School students and younger RCS grade school students.
This one-on-one program called Eagle Readers, partners a high school student with a student at the elementary level who is need of extra assistance in reading skills such as comprehension or decoding. Lourdes students shared unanimously that they observed a distinct growth in confidence in their buddy, but most notable was a new excitement to read!
Congratulations to Lourdes High School senior, Theresa Eckel, who was recognized by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, as one of Minnesota's Distinguished Finalists for 2017 for ‘impressive community service activities.’
Theresa played a key role in organizing a system-wide food drive at all four of our Rochester Catholic Schools! As a result more than $50,000 in food donations has been collected over the past two years for people living in poverty on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Theresa is an example of an RCS student who is the living hands, feet, and face of Christ!
Fourteen Lourdes High School students will display their talent at The Southeast Minnesota Art Show.
